Heads-Up Navigation has been training commercial skippers & crew and pleasure craft operators since 1998 with Transport Canada and Industry Canada approved courses. 

We specialize in custom packages for private clients offering

 

Transport Canada Approved - SVOP and SDV-BS to meet the Small Vessel Regulations for all vessels under 12m, up to 12   passengers and 25nm from a coast station


CanBoat - ROC-M and PCOC to meet all requirements for VHF and pleasure boat licensing

  

IYT Partner School and MCA Accredited - The "Global Standard in Marine Training and Certification"we are a licensed International Yacht Training (IYT) Partner School specializing in Small Powerboat and RHIB Master


Recently under new management, Captain Adrian Midwood will now be leading all trainings.


Adrian brings over 20 years experience as a Captain working on every major ocean worldwide. He has:

- Owned and operated a research vessel in the south pacific for 10 years

- Taught SVOP, SDV-BS and ROC-M for 3 years across Canada to clients including RCMP, DFO, Parks Canada, BC Parks and Remote Coastal Communities.

- Owner and Operator of a International Yacht Training practical skills based school

- The Managing Director of a grassroots environmental organization for 7 years

- Executive Director of a Canadian Registered Charity for an international foundation for 2 years

- Has delivered 2 TEDx talks

- Still actively works in the field on marine stewardship and operations
